SHANNON HARRIS

Shannon Harris is a multidisciplinary innovator whose career bridges technology, music, neuroscience, and holistic wellness. His work spans information technology, anthropology, ethnomusicology, global music studies, mindfulness, and sound energy science—united by a singular vision: to harmonize human potential through sound and frequency.

With more than 30 years in the IT sector, Harris has collaborated with Fortune 500 companies while cultivating a parallel artistic journey that spans four decades and six continents. This cross-cultural exploration has immersed him in diverse musical, spiritual, and healing traditions, forming the foundation of his groundbreaking approach to integrative wellness.

After overcoming bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome and chronic illness, Harris embarked on a transformative quest that led him deep into sound therapy, acupuncture, yoga, meditation, Qi Gong, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and indigenous healing arts. His pursuit of self-healing evolved into two pioneering, trademarked methodologies—Audio Pharmacology™ and Frequency as a Pharmacy™—which combine neuroscience, vibrational medicine, and ancient wisdom to activate the body’s innate capacity to heal and evolve.

A recognized authority in therapeutic sound and brainwave entrainment, Harris is a leading figure in the mindfulness and neuro-wellness fields. He serves as a mindfulness coach and brain/body entrainer for clients across Silicon Valley, Hollywood, Seattle, New York, Chicago, India, Africa, and Latin America. His immersive sound, light, and aroma experiences have been featured at prestigious institutions including Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Adler Planetarium, Garfield Park Conservatory, University of Chicago’s Logan Center for the Arts, Oxbow School of Art, Sedona Yoga Festival, and the GIA Conference.

Harris’ brain entrainment programs have also been integrated into the wellness wearable company BrainTap, auricular headset systems, and the mindfulness app Connect The Mind™, as well as his own next-generation meta-wellness platform, Frequency as a Pharmacy™.

In 2020, Harris co-founded Self Care Laboratories LLC, a consultancy dedicated to elevating personal and professional well-being. Since 2023, he has partnered with the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, serving as the Resident Mindfulness Facilitator at the Englewood Mental Health Center through Healing Arts Chicago. Expanding the scientific foundation of his work, Harris has recently assembled a team of neuroscientists and partnered with leading EEG bioinformatics firm EMOTIV to clinically test his Audio Pharmacology™ brain entrainment protocols.
